God is our hope

SUNDAY IS COMING
The children will be joining the adults for the sung part of our morning and the lighting of the 1st Advent Candle. Please keep your children with you unless they want to join our leaders who will be wearing the team shirts. The leaders will have streamers that the children can use during our worship time.
Sign in for babes&tots is normal but the bigger kids will sign in during coffee.

TO READ TOGETHER
Jeremiah 33:14-17
Jeremiah was a prophet who lived many years before Jesus was born and delivered messages from God to the Israelites. It was not a very happy time for the Israelites and Jeremiah had messages of warning for them but also messages of hope and promise. Read this part of his message together, who is he talking about?

TO LEARN TOGETHER
We put our hope in the Lord.
He is our help and our shield.
Psalm 33:20

TO DO TOGETHER
Make something to hang on your family’s fridge to remind everyone that God’s good promises are true.

SO I’M WONDERING
A FEW QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELVES AND YOUR CHILDREN
What are some of your most fantastic hopes?
What do you do when you have trouble feeling hopeful?

GENEROUS GIVING
Buy something for our collection of dried goods and other things for the Foodbank. Let your kids choose what they want to buy and bring and so they are more involved in the gift giving.

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Thank you Jesus for all the gifts you give us, especially yourself. As we start to think about Christmas help us to remember You are in the middle of all of it. Amen.

SOME KIDS TO PRAY FOR
Miguel - our sponsor kid in Mexico

Adam - in children’s hospital, that the bone in his leg would regrow and there would be no more infection

ADVENT COLOURING
I have made you an advent colouring page for each week leading up to Christmas. It has things to read and things to do, and obviously lots to colour.
Pick up the HOPE page this Sunday from bridgeKIDS.
