SUNDAY IS COMING
Babes&tots will run as normal but the older children, age 3 and up, will join the adults for the sung part of our worship this weekend and sign in to their groups during the break.
TO READ TOGETHER
Although there was only one temple in Jesus’ time, there were many synagogues. Jesus makes the people in his local synagogue think when he read from Isaiah.
TO LEARN TOGETHER
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.” Luke 4:18a
SO I’M WONDERING
(Some things to think about together)
When does God love us?
What kind of people does Jesus love? (hint: look at the theme for this week)
TO DO TOGETHER
Send “God Valentines”! Make simple valentines with messages like “Jesus Loves You!” and “God Loves You Always & No Matter What!” and “God Loves Everybody!” Have fun mailing or delivering them anonymously so that the recipients feel the real surprise of the message.
KEEP YOUR EARS OPEN
Next time you hear someone say “I love you,” remember that God loves you too.
TO PRAY TOGETHER
Thank you, God, for always love us, no matter what. Thanks for sending Jesus to tell us this over and over. In his name we pray… Amen
SOME KIDS TO PRAY FOR...
ADAM - is happy to be home from hospital, his leg is in a full cast that he can put a little weight on. He has physio daily and is working on using crutches - pray for courage and strength for him and for that bone to grow strong again after the infection.
WINSTON - He was born prematurely and is in the NICU so they can look after him as he grows. Pray that he grows really well with no complications.
