Jesus told stories to teach us about Godís love.

SUNDAY IS COMING
We are running our regular plan this weekend.
Sign in for kids happens between 9:45 and 10:15 - the earlier the better though as the kids have activities set up to start at 9:45am.
If you get there after 10:15 you’ll find us all together in our worship space, sign your kids in and come and join us.

TO READ TOGETHER
Luke 13:1-9
NOTE TO PARENTS OF SMALLER KIDS: You might want to just read the part about the fig tree. Talk about the job the fig tree had to do. Talk about the way God helps us to grow and produce ‘good fruit’.
NOTE TO PARENTS OF OLDER KIDS: Jesus talks about current events and is talking about the concept of karma but in the story of the fig tree he counters that by teaching that we get more than one chance to get things right because He cares for us like the farmer did for the tree.

TO LEARN TOGETHER
So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands and call on your name.
Psalm 63:4

SO I’M WONDERING
(Some things to think about together)
If you were going to plant a fruit tree, what kind would you plant?
What have you had to wait longer than you wanted to get something you really love?

TO DO TOGETHER
Serve some figs or other fruits that you may not eat all the time. Have a test test! Which are your favourites?

KEEP YOUR EARS OPEN
When you hear about someone making a mistake — no matter how bad — remember that God always gives us another chance to make things better.

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Thanks, Jesus, for teaching us that God will always give us another chance. Thank you for grace. Thank you for patience. Thank you for calling us to be the best we can be. AMEN.

This week pray for every family who is on Spring Break whether they are at home or away.

WHAT IS LENT? Part 3
Lent is a fast that takes place 40 days before Easter but if you do the math and count from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday you’ll see that the math is wrong! This is because Sundays are a feast day when we look forward to the resurrection of Jesus. This is not a day to fast, but rather to feast, which is why we serve wagon wheels and other yummy treats in bridgeKIDS every Sunday - it’s always a party!
