God is with us in happy and sad times.

SUNDAY IS COMING
We are running our regular plan this weekend.
Sign in for kids happens between 9:45 and 10:15 - the earlier the better though as the kids have activities set up to start at 9:45am.
If you get there after 10:15 you’ll find us all together in our worship space, sign your kids in and come and join us.

TO READ TOGETHER
Luke 19:28-40; 23:26-56
We have both Jesus’ triumphant arrival in Jerusalem and the crucifixion in the bible passages for this Sunday. There is joy at the start of the week and real sadness at the end. The contrast of these events remind me that God is with us all the time, in celebration or devastation.
If you read, or better still, tell, this to your children remind them that Jesus doesn’t stay dead!

TO LEARN TOGETHER
“God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord!
There is peace in heaven and glory to God!”
Luke 19:38

SO I’M WONDERING
(Some things to think about together)
Talk about a parade you have seen.
What do you think it would have been like to be in the crowd on Palm Sunday?

TO DO TOGETHER
Make something for your home that tells the story of Holy Week. Maybe it is a piece of art, or a table centrepiece, or a bracelet. What colours and symbols can you use to tell this story?

KEEP YOUR EARS OPEN
Whenever you hear the name “Jesus”, add this “…loves me.”

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Dear God, we thank you for always working for good even in the midst of things that are so terrible. We thank you for the joy in our lives and we thank you that you are with us when things are hard. In Jesus’ name we pray, AMEN.

This week pray for Miguel as he and his family get ready to celebrate Easter.

GENEROUS GIVING
How can you give the gift of joy to someone else this week in how you notice them? It could be a smile or a joke or a gift or just being with them… get creative.
