The least of these

SUNDAY IS COMING & WE ARE AT ACS
This is our second Sunday in the new building.

Abbotsford Christian Elementary, 3939 Old Clayburn Rd, Abbotsford

It’s fun to be at the start of something new & it was wonderful to see so many people there yesterday, kids was buzzing and it was great. Let’s have a repeat this weekend!
We’ll be mixing it up and changing things around over the next little while as we find our rhythm and systems in our new home.
This Sunday we’ll be signing kids in at 10:00am and the team will be ready for them with games and activities from then. However, if you would like to keep your children with you through the worship you are totally free to do that, just bring them to us in the coffee break.

TO READ TOGETHER
Matthew 25:31-46
In this story Matthew shows us that Jesus served “the least of these” during His time on earth and we can show our love for Jesus by loving Jesus’ friends. Jesus’ friends are the hurting people in our world.

SO I’M WONDERING…
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR KIDS (AND YOURSELF)
Why would Jesus choose to hang around people who smelled and messed up and needed help?
If we followed Jesus, where do you think He would lead us?

TO DO TOGETHER
DO SOMETHING: Do you know someone who could use a meal or a tray of brownies or a visit? Have your kids help you prepare something to take to someone who needs it.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN
Place an empty bowl in the fridge to remind one another that there are hungry people who need our love and our generous giving.

FAMILY PRAYER
God of all,
Teach us about all the people you love.
Help us not to be afraid of people who seem different from us.
Help us to see Jesus’ face in the faces of people who need smiles and helping hands.
Help us to learn to give help and ask for help.
Amen.
