Send me!

SUNDAY IS COMING
With the better weather we are doing lots of playing outside and having our story outside too whenever we can. Woohoo!
Pick up will be back in the children’s group rooms to make it easy for you to find them at the end.

TO READ TOGETHER
Isaiah 6:1-8

Something amazing happened to the prophet Isaiah - he saw God!
Have you ever been chosen for something that was an honour, but you still didn’t want to do it? Why might you not want to do something that’s a big deal? If God chose you to do something, could you say no? Read the passage and see how Isaiah responded.

TO LEARN TOGETHER
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I; send me!” Isaiah 6:8
If you want to make it easier just learn Isaiah’s answer to God’s question.

SO I’M WONDERING…
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR KIDS (AND YOURSELF)
What did the angels that Isaiah saw look like?
What do you think angels look like?
What’s the hardest or most challenging thing anyone’s ever asked you to do?

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Dear God, sometimes when we are asked to do something, we get nervous or scared. Help us be like Isaiah, trusting in your guidance and responding to your call. Call me out and send me forth. Amen.

TO DO TOGETHER
Have a campfire and roast marshmallows
(It’ll help with the Keep your eyes open section - see below)

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN
The next time you see some hot coals (like in a BBQ pit or a campfire), say a silent prayer to have faith like Isaiah did.
