Jesus is the Bread of Life! Part 2

SUNDAY IS COMING
We take a break from our regular meeting together as just kids over the summer. The kids join the adults for our sung worship and snack (coffee break) and then, adult supervision allowing, they go out to play - one group for the little kids - up to age 3 and another for the older kids - age 3-10.

The summer doesn’t mean we take a faith break, in fact, you might even have more time to do things than you do in the regular school year, so, here’s a story and an idea for this week.

TO READ TOGETHER
John 6:35, 41-51
We are still in the passage in John where Jesus is saying He is the Bread of Life but unlike bread that satisfies us for a little while He satisfies us forever.

TO DO TOGETHER
We remember foundational things by doing and by experiencing with our senses. These ideas are meant to give your children that kind of immersive experience as they learn that Jesus is the Bread of Life who never goes stale and always satisfies us. So, choose 1, 2, or 3.

1. Start from scratch and make breadsticks in the shape of the letter J

2. Start from a tin of crescent rolls and shape them into the letter J before you bake

3. Make the letter J from Playdoh - just don’t eat those!

AUGUST
We are needing volunteers for this weekend, if you are going to be there and it’s been a while since you helped out I’d love to know ahead of time. If you can fill one of these gaps to play with the little kids (up to age 3) or the bigger kids (ages 3&up) please talk to Sarah or message in some way... (for the safety of your kids we need at least two adults/teens per group - thanks for your help!)
