God can make enemies into friends

SUNDAY IS COMING
We are running our regular plan this weekend.
Sign in for kids happens between 9:45 and 10:15 - the earlier the better though as the kids have activities set up to start at 9:45am.
If you get there after 10:15 you’ll find us all together in our worship space, sign your kids in and come and join us.

TO READ TOGETHER
Acts 9:1-20
God chose Saul, an enemy of people who followed Jesus, to become one of the church’s greatest leaders. Read about the encounter Saul had with God on the road and how he turned everything around for him.

SO I’M WONDERING
(Some things to think about together)
What is a bully? Have you ever known one?
How was Saul being a bully?

KEEP YOUR EARS OPEN
When you hear the name Saul or Paul, remember this story.

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Thank you, God, for using all kinds of people to help you spread the word about Jesus. Give us a time and place and way to talk about Jesus, too. Amen.

TO DO TOGETHER
Pray for bullies — specific ones — together. Work into your mealtime or bedtime prayers a prayer for the people in your life/lives who are mean, causing problems, and bullying. Far from being a negative exercise, this will give you all opportunities to hear about troubles in your individual lives and you will learn from each other how to handle such instances.

PARENT LUNCH FOLLOW UP
Thank you for staying to share all your thoughts and ideas after church yesterday. I really appreciated your enthusiasm and wisdom. I’m condensing the responses and I’ll send another email with all your thoughts later on this week and we’ll continue working on and shaping the experience for your kids together.
