TO READ TOGETHER
Luke 16:19-31
This week’s theme is SHARE. A rich man feasted every day while Lazarus sat outside the man’s door with nothing to eat. God calls us to share what we have and show our love to all people.

Kids will probably picture two people, one poor and one rich, and will fixate on where they are after they die. They will embrace the notion of talk between heaven and hell. They will also hear a brother asking for help for his brothers and Abraham saying no. It will be important to explain to kids that this story is a parable and is meant to show a specific lesson about treating all people as though they have value and worth. Kids constantly hear at home and school that they should share what they have, and this parable shows them it’s what God desires too.

TO LEARN TOGETHER
Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Romans 12:13a

TO TALK ABOUT:
What are some things we could share?
I wonder what the world would be like if everyone shared.

TO PRAY TOGETHER
Dear God, help us remember to share. Help us notice people around us who need our love and care. Amen.

TO DO TOGETHER
A need is something you must have to live. A want is something you
would like to have. Take turns naming things in your home. Decide if each is
a need or want. How can your family help those who don’t have what they need?

BRIDGEKIDS LIBRARY
We have a few bins at the sign in desk with worship CDs, DVDs, Kids books and parent books for you to borrow. Take a few minutes to have a look this weekend.
