TO READ TOGETHER
Luke 17:11-19
On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus is approached by ten lepers asking to
be healed. Under Jewish law, lepers were considered unclean, forced to endure public shame and live far away from others. Jesus tells the ten to report to a priest to show they have been healed. One leper returns to thank Jesus for being healed, recognizing it was Jesus who had the real power to declare him “clean.” He also gave Jesus thanks because Jesus saw him as having worth and dignity. He would no longer have to live outside society because Jesus declared he was lovable and important.

TO LEARN TOGETHER
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

What does it mean to be thankful? How do you show your thankfulness?
How can we thank God?

TO DO TOGETHER
Make some thank you notes together. Use simple craft supplies or computer templates to create your own thank you notes to use as the occasion presents itself. Place them in a box or drawer with pens and your address book so that things are all ready when you need to use them.
