We are united in Christ

SUNDAY IS COMING
We are in our regular groups this week. The children will sign in before the service and have their worship and story and activities and playing as normal.

TO READ TOGETHER
1 Corinthians 1:10-18
This week’s story is from one of Paul’s letters to the people who lived in the city of Corinth. The Corinthians were new followers of Jesus, and Paul wrote to encourage them in their new faith, to tell them more about Jesus, and to remind them of what is most important. This week’s theme is UNITED. Paul wrote a letter telling the Corinthians to get along with one another. Jesus died and rose again so that everyone could be united in God’s family.

TO TALK ABOUT:
If you were writing a letter like Paul did, what would you tell someone about Jesus?

TO PRAY TOGETHER
God of light,
Sometimes it’s tricky to get along with others.
Remind us that we all belong together because we are loved by you!
We belong with... (Name some people that God loves.)
All of our prayers we give to you.
Amen.

FAMILY KINDNESS CHALLENGE
Paul told the Corinthians to work together and stop letting disagreements cause conflict. Choose a different person that God loves to do something kind for each day this week. Share your acts of kindness each night at dinner.

CHURCH FAMILY PRAYERS

Take a drive around our community. Stop and write down the names of churches on your route. Choose a different one each day and pray for the members of that church family.
