Experiencing the Creator in creation - monkeys

The animal this week is the monkey!

Bible for this week - Matthew 9:35-10:23
The connection between the passage and monkeys has to do with imitation. Jesus is sending his disciples out to do what he has shown them. They have learnt from watching him and listening to him and now it’s their turn. Monkeys learn in the same way, they imitate the adults. Jesus wants his disciples - including us - to imitate him.

Let me know if there is anything specific I can be praying for you and your kids as this week unfolds. I want to support you in any way I can, please let me know how!

I have a few questions about how I can help in the next little while but I’ll send you a quick email questionnaire - watch out for that in the next few days - I’m trying to make it very succinct and so very quick for you!

What do you have to do to imitate someone well?

Thanks for your combined acting & videoing skills in the challenge last week - here’s a link to the video so you can see the whole thing.

This week’s challenge is to make a heart from anything. It could be a simple drawing, a painting, a model from playdoh, lego, junk, stones on the ground, etc. Take a photo of you with the heart and send it to me by Friday please.

Lord Jesus, you send us to tell the world and show everyone how much you love them. Help us to be imitators of you and live a life of love as you did. Amen

Watch out on Saturday for your Sunday zoom invite
