June 4 Great and small, what creation teaches us about Creator

LAST WEEK - MAY 28
It was Pentecost, 50 days after Easter, and we talked about the Holy Spirit - the gift given. The Holy Spirit got people’s attention on the day of Pentecost in wind, fire and then hearing others tell the good news about Jesus in their own language.

SOME THINGS TO TALK ABOUT AND DO
Watch the effect of the wind. What do you think God might be whispering on the wind to us today?

A PRAYER
Jesus, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit to be with us always. May we have our eyes, and ears open for when you want to get our attention today. Amen

GREAT + SMALL
This Summer we are going to be talking about GREAT and SMALL things that God might use to tell us about Themself.

This week we’ll begin with a little tiny plant.

My soul keeps watch for the Creator, more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. Psalm 130:6

THIS WEEK - JUNE 4

READ AHEAD

Matthew 28:16-20
In Jesus last few words to his friends he tells us about something really tricky to understand, the concept of the Trinity. Have a read.

I WONDER
How does Jesus’ last sentence in this passage make you feel? “Now look, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

GET READY FOR SUNDAY
Have paper and colours ready and something heart shaped to draw around would be handy but not essential.
