BridgeKIDS and adults are going through the Beatitudes in our online gatherings this fall.

‘Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.’
We changed the language of this blessing as it’s a little bit tricky to understand and said instead: Blessed are those who get in trouble for doing the right thing, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. We talked about making hard choices to do the right thing and what they might be and we played a bunch of games. It was fun to be together and there were some sweet dance moves going on!
THE CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK:
Next week is TOYS FOR TOTS, this year they are having a drive through, and this is what’s happening.
Friday, November 27, before school - 7am - 10am
Come dressed in Christmas PJs, decorate your car, and catch the eye of Santa and his elves, wave at Ever After Princesses and enjoy the Christmas Music. Bring a toy or donation and you will receive a treat box to take home.

The last beatitude to read & remember
‘Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.’
Blessed are you when… following Jesus isn’t always easy, but we don’t do it alone. We are part of the huge family of God and not only those who are alive now we are part of a very big group from ancient times, recent times and people all over the world. We join with everyone who wants to create a world where people can live freely and without fear - the kingdom of God that Jesus always talked about. He said it starts with him but it goes on and on and on through us. When we and others make a hard choice to do the right thing so that the world looks more like the kingdom of God that is a good thing and a great reason for joy all round.
