April 12 - KIDS IN PERSON

BridgeKIDS are joining with the kids from Emmanuel this Sunday and Sarah, Kathy, Lando & Shaeya will be your big people.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12
Check in with Sarah when you arrive at church and we’ll get you signed in so we can just slip out of the sung worship time when it is time to go - usually after one or two songs.

We are continuing Easter because Easter is a whole season not just one weekend. Jesus is alive again and that's a reason that we keep on celebrating.

HOME IDEAS

To read together:
John 20:1-9

For parents: We are using the story of John and Peter running to the empty tomb when they heard the news from Mary. They both saw the strips of cloth on the ground - which was a good sign that Jesus' body hadn't been stolen. John believed because he saw the empty tomb but obviously not everyone has that experience. Jesus told Thomas that people who believed without seeing were blessed. EAch year that your kids encounter this story they'll uncover more and more of the significance of the resurrection (as do we grown ups) but for now, to be introduced to the idea of it is enough.

The focus of our story and lesson is 'The tomb is empty'

SUNDAY MORNING
We will start in the kitchen and create something that will be a snack once it has baked - we'll meet the kids from Emmanuel at the bottom of the stairs up to the kids room and go to the kitchen together.

We will play a few games, read the story, sing, and pray together.

PRAYER

Je
sus, we are so glad that the tomb was empty because you are alive again. Amen.
