Our theme for the Fall is the list of things the Holy Spirit produces in God’s people that is found in Galatians 5:22-23. We’ll be taking one thing a week and thinking about how Jesus demonstrated or talked about that characteristic and how we can live it out loud as He shows us how.
This weekend the theme is JOY. Jesus is JOY. There are lots of verses in the bible about joy or happiness and there are hints that we might find that in community with Jesus and each other.
IN THE STORIES JESUS TOLD ABOUT A LOST SHEEP AND A LOST COIN THERE WERE TWO PEOPLE WHO WANTED OTHERS TO JOIN THEM IN THEIR JOY, THEY SAID:

READ THE STORIES WITH YOUR KIDS - YOU’LL FIND THEM IN LUKE 15.
A FEW QUESTIONS TO GET YOU STARTED: WHO IS ASKING EVERYONE TO REJOICE WITH THEM? HAVE YOU EVER FELT JOY LIKE THAT? WHY DID JESUS TELL THIS STORY?
Think about it... what gives you joy? What never fails to make you smile? How many times did you laugh this week? What makes you happy? How much time do you give to things that bring you joy? What can you do to make someone else smile?
Make joy your mission! Your own and other peoples.
If JOY is contageous, how do you spread it?

Bring your favourite joke of all time, a new one you have just learnt, or something funny that happened this week and we’re going to see if we can make each other laugh!
