Lent 4: What is the kingdom of God like?

LAST SUNDAY IN KIDS
The message from last Sunday and, if I’m honest, pretty much every week in kids, is: ‘Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.’ We spread love in a paint race, stretched it out using a parachute over the whole universe and sent the children home with seeds to spread love like wildflowers.

THE CHALLENGE THIS WEEK
Dry out the seed ball and then put in your yard so that the seeds can grow into wildflowers that the bees will adore. If you weren’t there consider picking up a packet of wildflower seeds and scattering them in your yard.

BRIDGEKIDS ZOOM, MARCH 27
TO GET READY FOR SUNDAY

TO READ: Luke 13:18-21
Jesus uses stories to tell us about the kingdom of God, the seed, the large plant, the yeast and the tree. What do you think he is telling us by using those word pictures?

TO REMEMBER:
‘What can I compare God’s kingdom to?’ Luke 13:20 (such a great question)

A PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, thanks for all the word pictures and stories you told to help us understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God. Your kingdom come and your will be done. Amen.

TO DO AT HOME

TALK ABOUT IT

What or who do you know that is both tiny and strong?
How have you grown recently or how have you grown if you look back over a year?
Is it difficult or easy to spot growth happening?
