Easter Weekend

YESTERDAY IN KIDS@HOME
We talked about Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem. He rode on a donkey, a sign that He came in peace, not to start a war.

THE CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK
How many times can you make someone laugh
Get silly and start counting.

GOOD FRIDAY,
APRIL 15, 10AM - 4PM,

DELAIR PARK BY THE TENNIS DOME

We will be setting up Scott Erickson’s stations of the cross artwork. Come and go as you please. Someone will be there to talk to during the day or you can just come and look at the images.
They are not graphic in nature and suitable for children. They are black and white images that tell the story of events leading up to the crucifixion and Easter Sunday, each one forming the shape of a cross. It’s clever. I think your children could access the images with you well.

EASTER SUNDAY LIVE, APRIL 17, 10:30AM
LEGACY BUILDING, 3270 TRETHEWEY ST
It’s fitting that we are live for Easter and the kids are going to join with the adults for our gathering to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection together.

Coffee/hot water for tea/hot chocolate will be ready from 10:20am with pasta and, if they hunt me down, chocolate treats for the kids too…

TO DO AT HOME, TO GET READY FOR SUNDAY

TO READ: JOHN 20:1-10

Mary Magdalen runs to the tomb but what she sees makes her run to tell the others. Come and see…

TO REMEMBER:
Mary told them that Jesus was alive. Mark 16:11

A PRAYER
Jesus, what a gift you are, we are grateful for you and all you did for us. Thank you for loving the whole wide world and giving us life. Amen

TALK ABOUT IT
This will help prepare your children (and you) for interactive stations around the room on Sunday…

  • What do you love about being alive?
  • What holds you back or keeps you from being fully who you are?
