EASTER FIVE: The followers of Jesus

YESTERDAY IN KIDS@HOME
John was in prison and a bit confused as to what was going on. He sent his friends to ask Jesus if He was the One after all. Jesus didn’t give a straight answer but showed John’s friends that He the real deal. We talked about asking questions and said that it’s always good to ask questions.

THE CHALLENGE FOR THIS WEEK
What’s the best question you ask this week or you hear this week? Keep your eyes and ears open for the good questions

TO DO AT HOME THIS WEEK

TO READ:
Acts 5:12-16
The book of Acts tells the story of the followers of Jesus as they pick up where He left off. They did many amazing things following in the footsteps of the One who they had learned from. More and more people were connected to them and joined in the life of following Jesus too.

TO REMEMBER:
More and more people believed in the Lord and were added to the group of believers. Acts 5:14

A PRAYER
Dear Jesus, show me how following You can be a great adventure and remind me that I am connected to lots of other people who are following You too. Amen

TALK ABOUT IT
Who are you connected with?
Who are your close connections? Why would you call them close?
Who are your more distant connections? Why are they distant?

THE GRAND PLAN FOR SUNDAY - MAY 15, 2022
Sign in as a family at the playground that you can see from the parking lot. Parents will get number stickers for collection. KIDS MUST STAY WITH THE TEAM ONCE SIGNED IN & NOT WANDER BETWEEN PLACES - the park is too public to let kids roam independently. Should we need parents we will text you.

BridgeKIDS will spend the whole morning outside so dress appropriately for the weather - WARM/WATERPROOF LAYERS will help as it looks pretty damp at this point.

There will be a story, craft activity, games, and a time for snack and reflection. Can you please send your kid with a hot drink in a flask that we can have at the story spot? It’ll help add a cozy in the middle of the morning.

REGISTER YOUR KIDS
Please message Sarah if you are planning on being there this Sunday so we can make sure we have the appropriate number of team and all the bits and pieces we need. 604 615 9406

This team will be wearing bright orange shirts, it’ll be hard to miss them! They will be on the playground with stickers ready to sign your kids in.
They will be with your children on the playground and outside under the covered area for story, crafts & snack.
Snacks will be provided (nut free with options for gluten free too). Please send your kid with a warm drink if they would like that or something else.
Find them outside after the gathering to pick up your children - either undercover or on the playground.

JOIN A TEAM
When we are live we need people to hang out with the children.
When we are online on zoom it is pretty much a one person job that me and occasionally Kylee or Alisa have been doing, but when we are live we need more people-power.

If you are someone who enjoys children and wants to provide spaces for them to connect with God and know how loved they are then this job is for you. The bottom line for those who serve in bridgeKIDS during any gathering in person on online is that we are connection people not content providers. Your aim is to be present with the children and develop relationships with them. We want you to be an additional loving adult working in a supporting role alongside their parents.

If you would like to join us on a live Sunday morning and hang out with the children please contact Sarah asap!
