Nov 6 - A temple?

LAST SUNDAY - OCT 30
Sadly our hike was rained off by an atmospheric river so we hung out in zoom instead and talked about the disciples arguing about who was the most important. Jesus showed them a whole other way to look at it so they could see how being a helper was the best thing.

THIS WEEK - NOV 6

TO READ: EPHESIANS 2:19-22
Read this bit of Ephesians where Paul is using a picture of the temple building to explain how we all fit together and how we grow together as a place where the Holy Spirit lives.

A PRAYER
Thank you Jesus that we belong to you and we belong to each other and are all part of your good news on the earth. Amen.

AN IDEA TO THINK ABOUT
What other families are your family connected to. What could you do to spend time with them or do something nice for them this week?

TO GET READY FOR SUNDAY
Gather something to build with, it could be lego or blocks or cardboard boxes or... use what you have.

JOIN SARAH ON ZOOM THIS WEEKEND
Log in a 9:30am and we will talk about all of this some more and build together and sing a song, and talk to Jesus about all these things.

AN IDEA FOR NOVEMBER 13

As we only get to be together once this month and also because we have cookies already made and in the freezer, here’s an idea for November 13 so we can be together.

Let’s meet up (and this is open to our whole church) at 11am at Fishtrap Creek under the big shelter that sticks out over the water by the middle parking lot. We will take a walk from there to enjoy creation and listen to what she has to share with us. Then we’ll gather back together under the shelter and decorate cookies which will form our communion as we eat together. It’ll be Wild Church!

I will stay put under the shelter so if you don’t want to walk you don’t have to but I think it’ll be great to take a walk around the water there and be with each other and the world around us.
