LAST WEEK - MARCH 19
The colour for Lent was Yellow and we talked about Jesus making mud and healing a man’s eyes. We talked about Jesus being the light and we get to the the light too now!
SOME THINGS TO TALK ABOUT AND DO
Jesus is the light of the world, and he also calls us to shine. As a family, choose a neighbour, a nearby family, or an organization you’d like to help on their journey through the wilderness. Come up with a plan: What’s the best way to be helpful? Baking them something yummy? Shovelling snow or doing some yard work? Publicly highlighting an organization’s good work in a conversation or on social media? Giving some money? Signing up to volunteer? All (or many) of the above?
A PRAYER
God of light and life, help us to see. Open our eyes to your decor of beauty, the patterns of grace in creation. And send us out into shadows, so we can shine our little lights for the love of the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I am away this week so there will be pizza box shaped activity boxes available for kids to use during the gathering rather than the spot at the front. Pick up at the welcome table.
Myrna Rempel will be talking about her recent trip to Albania. Albania is known as the land of the eagles and so there are lots of eagle like crafts as options in the boxes. I am sure Myrna will have lots of great stories to tell from her trip.
Other activities available in the room:
Visit the prayer corner. Add your face to the group portrait. Plant a seed. Write a prayer and put it in the box. Take communion together...
GET READY FOR SUNDAY
Do some research and find out about the different kinds of eagles that can be found in Albania and impress Myrna with what you know about the country that she loves.
