Nov 23 Lost Sheep

WE’RE IN PERSON - KIDS GROUP AFTER FIRST SONG
We’ll go out after the first song this week.
Sarah & Shaeya will be with the children and take them upstairs.

TO READ:
A Jesus story - Matthew 18:12-14
Note for parents: The parable of the lost sheep concerns those who are already in the family of God, but have wondered away. It is not an evangelistic parable, where the lost sheep represents the unsaved. It is an illustration of God's amazing love and care for his people.

A GAME TO PLAY
Make a small sheep from Lego or playdoh.
Take turns to hide the sheep and hunt for it using the sound of a sheep to let the hunter know how close they are. Quiet bleating when they are far away and loud bleating when they get close to it.

TWO WAYS THIS MORNING MIGHT GO…
OPTION ONE.
We start videoing part of the story for Christmas Eve. The kids from both churches are going to be making a video based on Charlie Brown Christmas that will be shown on Christmas Eve as part of our Gathering. The scenes for videoing are being finalized and will be filmed over the next few weeks.

But if that’s not ready

OPTION TWO.
We will use the story of the lost sheep and activities based around that including stories, games and making.

I’ll let you know later in the week which way we are going with this plan

A PRAYER
The Lord is my shepherd is a lovely thing to say. You watch out for us, look after us, and are always there for us. Thank you!

DEC 14 and beyond
We are joining up with Emmanuel Mennonite Church to have kids church together. It’ll be pretty much what we’ve been doing on our own but with more kids so it’ll be more fun!
