God with us, Stories of Jesus - Jesus does what he says

GOD WITH US!
Stories of Jesus

Tell the story
We are telling the story of using the church year as our guide. We are continuing with Jesus stories through the year running in parallel to the adults in their gathering. Read the story with your kids and you’ll set the stage for all of you ahead of Sunday.

Yesterday
I’m sorry the clouds didn’t deliver on the promised snow - oh well - hope you had a fun day together.

Worship Dance Party
Worship isn’t fabulous on Zoom and so I’ve put together a playlist on Spotify that we’d have used if we were face to face.
Watch out for the occasional Facebook worship moment in the near future too so we can learn new songs together!

SPOTIFY PLAYLIST

This coming Sunday
This week’s story is about a sick man, no one has been able to help him but here comes Jesus who doesn’t only say he can help but does help. Jesus’ words mean more because he puts them into action. He heals the man. Have a read and see what happens.
Mark 1:21-28

Prep for Sunday - thank you!
Gather some paper and pens/pencils as we’ll have a drawing activity to do together on Sunday morning.

GOD WITH US!
In our community
You can be like Jesus and put your words into action. Have a think about someone you can help, maybe they’re sick, maybe they’re lonely and isolated.
What kind of gift of compassion can you bring that will help them? Ask them! And then do it!
(We’ll let this one run for two weeks!)
Let’s Pray
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for showing us your love and power. Help us trust that you will help us when we are sick and lonely, and guide us to share the words of your wisdom with others who are hurting.
In your name,
Amen.

Question of the week
Ask yourself, as a sibling, as a parent, ask a friend - even ask a stranger…

What did you improve today?
