Jesus heals

LAST SUNDAY IN KIDS
We told the story of Jesus being baptized and drew doves so we could act out the story. Jesus must have felt really loved to experience all he did as he came up out of the water. John did what Jesus said and trusted what Jesus was saying to him.

THE CHALLENGE THIS WEEK

One of the things that Jesus told his friends during his lifetime was to ‘Love your neighbour’, so this week’s challenge is to get creative in that, choose a neighbour and decide how you can show them love this week.

BRIDGEKIDS ZOOM, JAN 23
TO GET READY FOR SUNDAY
TO READ: Mark 1:29-31
Jesus and his friends are at synagog as usual for the Sabbath and then they go to Andrew and Simon’s house for lunch. Read what happens when they get there.

TO REMEMBER:

(Because of Jesus) ‘The kingdom of heaven has arrived. Heal the sick.’ Matthew 10:7-8

A PRAYER
Jesus, thank you that you brought the kingdom of heaven. Thank you for healing the lady in this story. Healing is one way the kingdom comes, show us all the ways your kingdom comes. Amen.

TO DO AT HOME
TALK ABOUT IT
What do you think Jesus thought and felt when he saw Simon’s mother-in-law in bed, sick?
Look at Jesus’ actions, why do you think he did what he did? Why didn’t he say anything that we know of?

TO DO TOGETHER
TASTE IT
I wonder what Simon’s mother-in-law made for lunch that day. What would you make? Take turns choosing what to make for a meal together.

LIST IT
How is your gratitude list going? It’s not too late to start one. Put it somewhere you can see it and add something new each day every day this month.

SEE YOU ON ZOOM @ 9:30AM THIS SUNDAY!
