This past week were on zoom, we talked about Jesus, the One through whom the earth was created and who holds it all together - even us!

ADVENT, WEEK 1: LOVE
TO READ: Psalm 8
All God’s creation is good and loved! Advent is a season of getting ready to welcome Jesus again as we retell the stories that show us what it is like for God to come to us in a human body.
TO PRAY
Thank you God for your love for us and all creation. May we get ready to welcome you this Advent season as we wait for Christmas to come. Amen
SOMETHING YOU COULD DO TOGETHER
If we have a clear night this week where it’s not raining or cloudy go out to a dark spot, maybe outside of town and look at the stars and read this:
I look at the heavens, which you made with your hands.
I see the moon and stars, which you created.
But why is man important to you?
Why do you take care of human beings?
(Hint: because of love)
THIS SUNDAY MORNING - MEET US INSIDE AND WE’LL GO OUT TOGETHER
We’ll be ready to greet kids by the hot chocolate station from 10:25am and will be taking them outside around 10:40 or soon after.
Although we’ll start inside we will go out so dress for the weather and also to play.
Bring a warm drink for our snack time (we have snacks).
We’ll bring your children back to you at the end.
WHY DO KIDS OUTSIDE?
Our aim with holding church for WILD KIDS OUTSIDE is to engage with and worship our Creator by being in creation, to allow nature to speak to us and teach us about how to love and care for ourselves, each other and creation itself. Jesus often used creation to illustrate his stories. I think he might have been on to something.
WHAT IF IT’S WET AND COLD? (which it may well be)
We have a shelter we can be under but we’ll stay outside. There is no wrong weather, only wrong clothing choices so dress your kids for the weather and we’ll be in great shape. Pack them a warm drink for our snack time.
CAN I JOIN YOU?
Absolutely! Parents & older siblings are very welcome to join us. Let me know if you want to hang with us this weekend and make sure you are dressed warm too!
