Simon, Andrew, James & John dropped everything and followed Jesus. From now on they were going to learn how to gather and recruit others to follow Jesus too rather than catch fish, which is, up to this point, what they knew.
THIS WEEK - JAN 29 - KIDS @ HOME

Continuing on with stories about following Jesus... Jesus talks about the potential difficulties and distractions we might have when it comes to following him but because of v14-16 it sounds like it’s going to be worth it.
A PRAYER
Jesus, may we follow you bravely, like Simon, Andrew, James and John that we heard about last week and be ready to go where you go. Amen.
TO DO TOGETHER
Play a game of follow the leader. Choose someone to make the decisions that you all go along with for as short or as long a time as works in your family.
AN IDEA TO THINK ABOUT
Look up pictures of foxes dens and bird’s nests. What do you think Jesus talked about them for and what do you think it meant about how he lived with his friends?

A few questions for the children:
If you were in charge for a day...
What would everyone eat? What would people do for work? What games would they play? When would they have to go to bed? What else would make happen?
And finally:
Do you want to be in charge? Why or why not?
